The Opera and Ataba Squares witness prosperous urban culture. Due to an inhomogeneous
prospect, an aim of development is uprising along with historic conservation of Opera and Ataba Squares’ area, to be a cultural, recreational, and
commercial spot. The fulfillment of this goal will be an important step in realizing the government’s vision for Greater Cairo while once again drawing the world’s attention to the unique history, architecture and urbanism of this central zone.
The Gateway’s design concept is reusing and redeveloping the historical pattern of old Cairo Opera House to regain the spirit and glory of the past. The embraced tower reflects the Opera Gateway and the surroundings, emphasizing their importance.
